Ray Brougham Trophy 2003

The New Zealand Grassland Trust awarded Harry Wier (Kiwitech's Managing Director) its prestigious Ray Brougham Trophy in 2003.

The Ray Brougham Trophy was instituted in memory of Dr Ray Brougham, director of DSIR's Grasslands Division from 1970 to 1985, an NZGA Life Member and GMT Chairman. It is awarded to those who make an outstanding national contribution towards the New Zealand grassland industry.

By developing his TechnoGrazing™ concept and training farmers and others how to apply it, Wier has given exceptional service that has benefited the country's pastoral farming industry substantially.

'Harry Wier's work has raised effective pasture management to a new level,' says Trust chairman and well-known Feilding dairy farmer, Bryan Guy.

'Farmers who are using TechnoGrazing™, be it on beef, sheep, deer or even dairy farms, have reaped substantial profits, and also been boosted psychologically'.
